The common way is to measure through smart watches and sports bracelets, and you can also measure with heart rate band. Among them, heart rate band is more accurate in measuring heart rate. The common heart rate band is composed of heart rate transmitter and heart rate chest strap. The heart rate transmitter is small and light, which is very suitable for sports.


The wearing method of the heart rate chest strap is different from that of the smart watch. Wearing the heart rate chest strap correctly can accurately and real-time measure the heart rate change during exercise. So how to use the heart rate chest strap correctly?

Step 1: Take out a heart rate chest strap, and you can see that there are electrodes and fastening buttons on it.


Step 2: Wet the conductive pads on the rear of the chest Strap with a few drops of water, saliva or conductive gel to ensure solid contact.

 

Step 3: Take out the heart rate transmitter, and you can see the left and right wearing direction on the back.

Step 4: Attach the transmitter to the strap, marked ‘R towards Right. Inaccurate heart rate data will be detected if the device is worn in wrong directions.

Step 5: Strap the heart rate chest belt across your chest. To ensure an accurate heart rate signal, adjust the strap until the belt fits snugly below your chest pectoral muscles.

After wearing it correctly, run software on smart phone, receive the heart rate data. The daily cleaning and maintenance of the heart rate chest strap is also very important. The sweat and salt accumulated on the chest strap will reduce the accuracy of heart rate measurement. It is recommended to simply clean the heart rate chest strap after each use:

1. Before hand washing the device, detach the transmitter of Heart Rate Monitor where electrodes are located. Heart rate transmitter is not washable.

2. It is forbidden to clean the heart rate monitor and chest strap in the washing machine or dryer.

3. Do not use detergent containing irritant chemicals, clothing softeners, bleaches and abrasive substances.

4. While washing the straps, make sure water is no higher than 30°C.

5. When not in use, please remove the transmitter from the heart rate chest strap, which can prolong the life of the heart rate monitor.

6. Put the chest strap flat or loose, and don't roll it too tightly.

7. Do not expose the heart rate chest strap to direct sunlight for a long time.

8. Do not let chemicals (including sunscreen, ammonia, mosquito repellent, etc.) contact the heart rate chest strap.

9. Ironing, bleaching or heating is prohibited.
